Here you will find a overview of the area

"The average house price in Bath has increased by 12% over the past year from £235,338 to £262,900.

Bath attracts some of the highest prices within the South West region as the number of period properties, good commuter links and high quality of life make it very desirable.

One of the main beneficiaries of this success recently has been Oldfield Park, one of the city’s major suburbs.  Situated to the south of the river, it is very much its own community with a main shopping high street, surrounded by densely populated residential streets.

In addition to local activity, the property market continues to be substantially enhanced by the university being located nearby and therefore investment buyers seeking suitable buy-to-let properties.

Because of its status as a World Heritage City, the potential for new developments within Bath is limited and supply often struggles to keep up with demand. This has had a positive effect on house prices, which also benefit from Bath’s good transport links.

Property at the lower end of the market frequently comes up for sale, which provides excellent opportunities for new buyers looking to get onto Bath’s property ladder.

Those who are restricted by affordability constraints turn towards the more affordable areas of nearby Trowbridge, Frome, Radstock and Chippenham.  House prices Trowbridge have increased by 14% over the past year from £155,588 to £176,888.  House prices in Frome have increased by 32% over the last year from £167,689 to £211,862 and house prices in Radstock have increased by 6% from 156,342 to £166,213.  Furthermore, house prices in Chippenham have increased by 6% over the last year from £178,266 to £189,836."
